Private dive trips in Bora Bora

Your boat, your captain, your instructor, and nobody else.

Just for you

Your boat, your captain, your instructor, and nobody else. Leaving from the Four Seasons or the Westin pontoon, a private trip lets you dive at your own pace, on the sites you choose, with the people you came with: couples, families, groups of friends, certified divers or beginners.

Private half day

2 to 4 hours · one or two dives, in the morning or the afternoon. Your instructor and captain suggest the sites according to your level, the weather of the day and what you would like to see.

Lagoon day trip

About 7 hours · leaving between 8:30 and 9:30 am, back around 3:00-3:30 pm. Why choose between diving and snorkeling when you can enjoy both in one day? The program is entirely up to you: two dives in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon, the other way round, or three dives.

For lunch, enjoy a Polynesian meal on a motu, with raw fish in coconut milk, grilled fish and meat, local vegetables and tropical fruit, or a restaurant of your choice from our list: Snack Matira, Bora Beach Club or St James. Throughout the day, your captain and instructor film your underwater experience.

Three private-only sites

Three sites are only visited on private trips: Muri Muri, for its schools of barracuda and dogtooth tuna; Apo'o, with its canyon and crater; Tupitipiti, a wall and drop-off. Open Water certification or above.

What's included

On board: full diving equipment, towels, water, sodas and fruit juice, tea, a small cake and chips, snacks, and your own captain and instructor. On the lagoon day trip, the meal and the video service are also included.

Your own instructor

Prefer to keep the boat shared but dive with your own instructor? A private instructor is available at an extra cost, and is recommended for Scuba Diver holders and for children diving without a parent in the water.

Frequently asked questions

Can we book a private boat for our group or family?

Yes. The private trip is our signature experience: the boat, the captain and the instructor are reserved for your group only, for a half day or a full day. It suits couples, families and groups of friends, certified divers and beginners alike.

What is the difference between the half-day trip and the lagoon day trip?

The private half day lasts 2 to 4 hours, with one or two dives, in the morning or the afternoon. The lagoon day trip is the full-day private trip: about 7 hours, leaving between 8:30 and 9:30 am and returning around 3:00-3:30 pm, with a lunch break.

What do we do during a lagoon day trip?

The program is fully tailored to you: two dives in the morning then snorkeling in the afternoon, the other way round, or two morning dives and a third dive in the afternoon. For lunch, a Polynesian meal on a motu or a restaurant chosen from our list: Snack Matira, Bora Beach Club or St James. Throughout the day, your captain and instructor film your underwater experience.

Is the program fixed in advance?

No. Your captain and instructor build the trip with you: the sites, the timing and the pace, according to your level, the weather of the day and what you would like to see.

Which dive sites can only be visited on a private trip?

Three sites are private-only: Muri Muri (schools of barracuda, dogtooth tuna, 45 minutes to 1 hour by boat), Apo'o (canyon and crater, 45 minutes) and Tupitipiti (wall and drop-off, 40 minutes). They require at least an Open Water certification.

What is included on a private trip?

Full diving equipment, towels, water, sodas and fruit juice, tea, a small cake, chips and snacks, plus your own captain and instructor. On the lagoon day trip, the meal and the video service are also included. For a quote, write to us or give us a call.

Can we have a private instructor without booking the whole boat?

Yes, at an extra cost. We recommend it for Scuba Diver holders, who are limited to 12 meters, so they can dive at their own pace without holding the group back, and for a child diving without a parent beside them in the water.
